About the Role
The Business Operations team at Mastercard is seeking a Lead BizOps Engineer. The role is to steward production readiness for Mastercard products and ensure stability within our platform. As a BizOps SRE, you will help foster developer ownership and encourage the creation of fault-tolerant and scalable products. Your responsibilities will include supporting daily operations, performing root cause analysis, and managing change activities effectively.
Team Specific Skills
The BizOps engineer will interact with various areas and responsibilities, including:
- Site Reliability Engineering: Ensuring application scalability and resilience, conducting blameless post-mortems, and improving reliability through automation.
- DevOps/Automation: Addressing complex automation and development issues, promoting software through CI/CD pipelines, and increasing operational efficiency through automation.
- ITSM Practices: Analyzing ITSM processes and providing feedback to development on improvements.
Role Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with coding or scripting, preferably in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- A systematic problem-solving approach and strong communication skills.
- Interest in large-scale systems design and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace, cloud environments, and standard CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
- Background in Kubernetes and knowledge of monitoring tools and practices.
