About the Role

As an Associate Software Engineer at Visa, you will be part of a dynamic, multi-functional development team dedicated to improving Visa Resolve Online, an application designed for managing disputes and chargebacks. You will be responsible for writing high-quality, reliable code using Java, while collaborating with teams across the company and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and contribute to scoping activities in the Visa Dispute business environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain code for the Visa Resolve Online application.
• Work collaboratively with team members and vendor partners to ensure project alignment and smooth operation of the application.
• Participate in technology proof-of-concept initiatives, learning and implementing new technologies and frameworks.
• Maintain technical documentation and assist in the delivery of innovative service and performance enhancements.

About the Candidate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Java/J2EE enterprise applications, Spring framework, and web services.
• Strong skills in Core Java and SQL, with a good grasp of object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with UNIX and shell scripting.
• Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Desirable skills include experience with AI technologies and cloud computing platforms.
• Previous experience in the financial industry is advantageous but not required.
