About the Role

EAT HAPPY GROUP is looking for a Data Engineer (m/w/d) who will be responsible for the following:

  • Building, maintaining, and evolving data architectures such as Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
  • Developing and orchestrating ETL/ELT processes for data integration.
  • Modeling and optimizing data to support analysis and reporting applications.
  • Integrating diverse data sources and constructing automated data pipelines for batch and streaming processing.
  • Working closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Developers to create data-driven solutions.
  • Managing data projects with Git and Azure DevOps, including monitoring, logging, and performance tuning of data workloads.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working with Lakehouse architectures (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or similar).
  • Good knowledge of Python, especially for data processing, and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Proficiency with Git and ideally experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with data modeling principles (e.g., Star Schema, 3NF, Data Vault).
  • An independent and structured work approach, a strong team spirit, and an eye for clean, maintainable code.
