Siemens EDA is looking for an experienced FPGA Prototyping Consultant in the EMEA region. This role is ideally suited to someone with strong technical expertise in FPGA prototyping systems, blended with excellent business development, project management, and customer interfacing skills. The consultant role will focus on technical services delivery ranging from platform enablement to methodology assistance.

Responsibilities

The position requires a combination of remote, office, and onsite working. As a consultant, you will be expected to find opportunities, drive new business, develop offerings, and grow the consulting practice.

Technical Competencies

• A good understanding of Primo/proFPGA hardware anatomy and system configurations.
• Working knowledge and experience using VPS software for compilation and runtime.
• Practical insights into the application and usage of FPGA prototyping systems.
• Knowledge of design mapping, testbench mapping, and transactor development.
• Expertise in hardware/software debug solutions related to FPGA prototyping.
• Knowledge of TBX, ICE and co-model solutions.
• Highly proficient in HDLs (Verilog/SV) for RTL design and HVLs (SV/UVM) for verification.
• Solid background in Functional Verification, RTL synthesis, and PnR flows.
• Conversant with SoC design and architecture concepts.

Desirable Competencies

• Familiarity with Data Centre hosting and Cloud-based solutions.
• Knowledge of standard interface protocols such as PCIe, AMBA, USB, DDR, DisplayPort, etc.
• Commercial awareness of EDA companies and solutions.
• Skills in Linux, Tcl/Python/shell, C/C++, DPI, SCE-MI, SystemC, UVM Connect, UVM Framework.
• Experience with Questa Sim and Visualizer for simulation.
• Background in consulting or other customer services subject area.

• BSc/MSc qualified in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Team player and individual contributor with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality with a pragmatic approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Happy to learn new technologies and methodologies when needed.
• English language mandatory, other European languages beneficial.
• Ability and willingness to travel including rights to work onsite within EMEA.
