About the Role

Pomfort GmbH is looking for a Software Developer (m/w/d) for professional video applications under macOS. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative desktop software tailored for film professionals globally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing new live video processing and streaming pipelines with a focus on low latency.
  • Implementing the latest on-set monitor technologies like HDR and 8K resolution.
  • Developing performance-optimized graphics shaders based on Metal and CoreImage Framework.
  • Working with high-end cameras and helping facilitate cloud data transfer for post-production.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional experience in software development.
  • Expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Java, Objective-C, Swift).
  • Passion for the latest technologies in film production.
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented work ethic. Additional skills that would be advantageous include experience with Objective-C or Swift on macOS or iOS, user interface development, and an interest in the workflows of film productions.
