About the Role
Finmas GmbH is the digital partner of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Our clients include Sparkassen, Landesbausparkassen, and insurers throughout Germany. We develop digital financial marketplaces for real estate financing and personal loans in the Sparkassen ecosystem. We are looking for a passionate, technical team lead to join our team as a Lead IT Architect Web Services / Rest APIs (w/m/d). Your responsibilities will include:
- Architecture: Define and enforce architecture principles, select appropriate technologies, and ensure long-term maintainability.
- Backend Development: Develop applications using Java (Spring Boot) and conceptualize, develop, and integrate REST APIs for internal and external usage.
- Testing and Performance: Write tests for your own code (End-to-End Testing e.g. with Jest or Cypress) and optimize application performance.
- Collaboration & Team Leadership: Work closely with the internal UX/Design team and finance IT colleagues, mentoring the growing development team.
About the Candidate
You should possess the following qualifications:
- Development: Solid experience in Java (Spring Boot) and knowledge in the design and development of REST APIs.
- Architecture: Experience in drafting and implementing architectural principles, technologies, and tools, along with designing scalable, modular, and high-performance software systems.
- Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with common authentication methods (e.g. OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT), web security (CORS, CSRF, XSS), and experience with version control systems (Git) and CI tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI). Familiarity with the Jetbrains suite is also beneficial.
- Soft Skills: Ability to make independent decisions and actively contribute to the development of new features, including guiding knowledge transfer through code reviews and team leadership.
- Language: Fluency in German at a minimum C1 level.
