About the Role
We are currently seeking a Data Engineer who enjoys writing code to unlock data, engage in data wrangling, and process data into a readable and usable format. This role is vital in building data connectors for multiple enterprise clients using modern technologies and cloud providers like Azure, focusing on the seamless flow of data crucial for our business.
Responsibilities
- Build data connectors and processing solutions using Python, Spark, or other programming languages.
- Define validation tests within the data pipeline.
- Set up monitoring and alerts to ensure disruptions or errors in data flow are promptly addressed.
- Lead incident management to swiftly identify and resolve underlying issues with minimal impact on end-users.
- Maintain contact with end-users and validate your solutions for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to build, deploy, maintain, and optimize data flow solutions.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate is familiar with scrum/agile methodologies and best software practices to enable a professional data flow. The following qualifications are required:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Experience in developing scripts for data ingestion and processing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Fabric or Databricks is a plus.
- Knowledge in data modeling and dashboarding (e.g., PowerBI) is advantageous.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and Spark, with basic knowledge of deploying data solutions in container environments (e.g., Kubernetes).
- A team player with strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ideally, you have experience working with data platforms and data lakes in an enterprise environment.
