About the Role
In this central position, you will steer and monitor the development of multiple Product Teams at 50Hertz. Your main focus will be on our Next Generation Control Center Ecosystem MCCS, aimed at fulfilling digitalization requirements in the energy transition. You will be responsible for:
- Architecture and Design: Planning, design, and implementation of architectures for modules related to grid monitoring and control. You will collaborate with Product Line Leads to make central architectural decisions within the MCCS.
- Technical Leadership: Lead development projects and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to find solutions through regular reviews of product teams' deliverables.
- Security Standards: Implement and oversee high security standards within the product line to ensure network stability and compliance with audits.
- Innovation and Optimization: Continuously improve new modules considering technical trends in energy and IT.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a cloud-native environment (Microservices, container orchestrators).
- At least 2 years experience with messaging and event streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Experience in product development, especially focusing on service tailoring and organization.
- Knowledge of common architecture frameworks and tools (C4, Archimate).
- Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- At least 5 years in SCADA systems development in the energy sector or related field, with knowledge in grid monitoring/control modules being advantageous.
- Willingness to participate in on-call services.
- Proficiency in German (C1) and English (C1).
