Key Responsibilities
- Work within a cloud-based business management system that supports the automotive sector.
- Maintain and improve an established stock control, CRM, and order processing system used by hundreds of clients across the UK.
- Collaborate closely with the existing development team.
- Assist with the modernization of legacy code, ensuring stability while preparing the system for future enhancements.
- Contribute to long-term strategic improvements, including the potential AI integration.
Technical Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PHP and JavaScript, with no reliance on frameworks such as Laravel—this role requires expertise in raw PHP and vanilla JS.
- Experience working with MySQL for database management.
- Familiarity with procedural PHP, though some object-oriented programming (OOP) experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of stock control and accounting systems, including discount calculations applied via JavaScript on the frontend.
- Prior experience developing API integrations, with knowledge of external system connections and data flow between platforms.
