About the Role

AI Infra teams at HubSpot play a pivotal role in the development of AI/ML solutions serving a dual mission: providing Product teams with Machine Learning solutions and offering Machine Learning Engineers the necessary infrastructure for their workflows. As a Technical Lead, you will lead a small team of 3-4 engineers, where autonomy and flexibility are core values, set the direction for AI Infrastructure, and stay hands-on in technical aspects while leading.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of engineers (3-4) with a focus on autonomy and flexibility.
  • Set direction for AI Infrastructure at HubSpot while remaining technically involved.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor team members.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Solve complex technical problems with customer empathy.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)

The ideal candidate is expected to:

  • Have coding experience in Java or Python, or other similar backend languages.
  • Be familiar with general ML concepts.
  • Have a proactive attitude to keep up with the rapidly evolving industry, preferably with exposure to AI Infrastructure at scale.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication, collaboration, and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Showcase ownership of projects from inception to rollout.
