About the Role
SayWay GmbH is looking for a Lead Developer (m/w/d) with a strong technical background and extensive expertise in Ruby on Rails. You will take on a key role in our IT team, focusing on mentoring junior developers and leading the core development of the SayWay main application.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Mentoring junior developers and promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Core Development: Conceptualizing, developing, and maintaining the SayWay main application (Rails).
- Microservices Development: Developing and maintaining microservices (e.g., alarm system or text analysis service).
About the Candidate
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Excellent programming skills and extensive experience in backend development with Ruby on Rails.
- In-depth knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and best software development practices.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and data modeling.
- Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills combined with assertiveness.
- Native German language skills (spoken and written) and fluent English.
