About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong Go (Golang) skills to join our cloud team. This key role involves designing, developing, and optimizing our cloud solutions to ensure they are efficient, scalable, and well-integrated with our other services.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain high-quality, reliable Go applications designed for cloud functions including storage, computing, and networking services.
- Lead all stages of the software development process, from initial concept through to deployment, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and cloud architects, to design and implement features that enhance the scalability and performance of the cloud platform.
- Ensure services are ready for production and operate them with high availability in a production environment; perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure software is reliable and fault-tolerant.
- Provide technical leadership and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in cloud project development; mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software development and cloud technologies.
- Assess and integrate new technologies and software engineering tools into current platforms to improve service reliability and delivery speed.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional programming experience, with significant experience in Java-based backend development and a minimum of 3 years working with Go (Golang).
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining cloud services, with expertise in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Docker, as well as microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly within an Agile framework.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a history of technical innovation.
- Knowledge of cloud security protocols, data encryption, and secure software development practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead discussions and projects in a diverse, multicultural environment.
