About the Role
At Synechron, we are seeking a hands-on, highly skilled, and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Lead PHP Engineer. In this role, you will be a crucial member of our engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data processing pipelines to support our organization’s data needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect PHP-based applications and services, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using PHP 8.x frameworks (e.g., Laravel 10.x, CodeIgniter 4.x).
- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to developers on best practices and design patterns.
- Define and maintain coding standards, documentation, and architectural guidelines.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Mentor and train development teams to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations.
About the Candidate
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in PHP development, with at least 3 years in an architectural role.
- Proficiency in PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) and experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL) and API development (RESTful services).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
