About the Role

The Reality Labs team at Meta is seeking a Computer Vision/Machine Learning Engineer to support our engineering teams. Our goal is to transform how people come together, interact, work, and play. We focus on developing cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation for current and future Reality Labs products such as VR, AR, smart glasses, AI assistants, and robotics. This role offers the chance to work with technologies that drive state-of-the-art advancements in ML perception in 2D and 3D. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop novel machine learning algorithms for various computer vision problems, including Vision-Language Models, 3D reconstruction, depth estimation, and object tracking.
  • Drive the team's goals and technical direction, pursuing new technical opportunities.
  • Lead collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams to take technologies from early exploration to production-level development.
  • Develop prototypes for future VR/AR/MR experiences and integrate robust solutions into products.
  • Define impactful project goals for team members to contribute and achieve success.

About the Candidate

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSc in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, 3D Vision, or Robotics.
  • Proficient in developing computer vision algorithms or infrastructure in C/C++ or Python.
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with distributed systems or on-device algorithm development.
  • Industry-level experience on projects involving Vision-Language Models or photorealistic rendering.
