About the Role

Siemens EDA is seeking an Application Engineer for its European Technical Organization, focusing on the Calibre line of products, the market leader in physical verification and circuit verification. This position involves collaborative work with the sales team and customers, managing technical engagements to support sales campaigns and drive the adoption of Siemens EDA Calibre software tools. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing close relationships with customers to assess their technical requirements for Siemens EDA's Calibre solutions and implementing technical sales plans through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Driving product adoption in customer projects, creating methodologies and flows, and managing tool integration into customer environments.
  • Uncovering new opportunities and effectively communicating relevant information to the sales team, establishing technical success criteria for engagements.
  • Providing technical leadership during sales campaigns and sharing valuable insights with peers, management, and product divisions to enhance competitive effectiveness.
  • Actively participating in outbound marketing efforts like trade shows and seminars.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice-to-Have Skills)

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual who enjoys working in an international environment. Qualifications include:

  • A BSEE or equivalent degree is required; MSEE preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Application Engineer or significant exposure to physical and circuit verification tools.
  • Expertise in scripting/programming (TCL/Tk, Python) in a CAD environment, with familiarity in rule decks writing.
  • Understanding of competitive tool requirements and experience with Unix/Linux OS.
  • Strong communication skills and a dedicated, motivated teammate who enjoys customer interactions and large team environments.

Additional Information

This position can be located in any country from our central and northern regions including Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Germany, with some international travel anticipated throughout Europe and the US.
