About the Role

As a Team Lead Tech Development - TypeScript in back-end development at Coolblue, you build and lead a team that excels at delivering high-quality and cost-effective software. You help team members set clear goals and choose smart approaches to achieve them. Together, you provide technical solutions that delight our customers.

You lead a multidisciplinary team of 3-7 Coolblue colleagues, functioning as both the team captain and a hands-on developer, dedicating 75-80% of your time to coding, technical discussions, architectural decisions, and pair programming. Alongside the product owner, customer journey specialist, designer, and analyst, you guide the team in the right direction. You ensure code quality by applying best practices and conducting code reviews while continuously looking for ways to improve collaboration and productivity.

About the Candidate

You should recognize yourself in the following:

  • At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript in back-end scalable projects
  • Experience with PHP is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in coaching and team development
  • Strong leadership skills that foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex decisions
  • Problem-solving ability with familiarity in SOLID, TDD, and BDD principles
  • A keen eye for code quality with agility in working processes
