About the Role

DATAGROUP is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer (all genders). In this role, you will be responsible for the further development and operation of our central multi-tenant Kubernetes platform—including logging and monitoring. You will assess new technologies continuously and document best practices while facilitating knowledge sharing across departments. In addition, you will automate processes using Infrastructure as Code and serve as the point of contact for other areas with questions regarding the Kubernetes platform. As 3rd-level support, you will provide assistance to our customers when they encounter difficulties.

About the Candidate

To qualify for this position, you should have several years of professional experience in administering enterprise Kubernetes clusters. You enjoy applying Infrastructure-as-Code principles, such as using Terraform, and automating processes through CI/CD (GitOps). Ideally, you will also have experience with telemetry and observability (metrics, logging, tracing). Knowledge of networking in the Kubernetes environment (Cilium, various load balancers/ingress) is desirable. You should possess a good understanding of diagnosing and resolving incidents in production environments and hold, or be willing to obtain, certifications such as CKA or CKAD during your employment with us. Proficiency in German at level C1 is required.
