About the Role

We would like to hire a hands-on Scala Developer who will be responsible for delivering high-quality code in a big data platform. This role involves unit testing in an automated test framework, managing automated DevOps releases, and documenting technology solutions for transaction monitoring and customer activity reviews. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and global development teams to define strategy for innovative solutions that meet regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and implementing tactical or strategic solutions for given business problems.
  • Engaging with stakeholders on business needs and technology requirements.
  • Defining and deriving strategic solutions, while identifying tactical solutions when necessary.
  • Writing technical design and other solution documents according to Agile (SCRUM) standards.
  • Performing data analysis to support development work and other business needs.
  • Conducting unit testing of developed code using an automated BDD test framework.
  • Participating in the testing effort to validate technology solutions.
  • Following MS standards for automated release processes across environments.
  • Executing automated regression test case suites and supporting UAT for developed solutions.
  • Collaborating with other FCT and NFRT teams.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hands-On Scala/Spark Developer.
  • Proficiency in SQL writing on RDBMS (DB2) databases.
  • Ability to optimize code for performance, scalability, and configurability.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on a HDFS platform development project.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, profiling, and lineage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Experience working in Agile projects.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Actimize ACTONE platform features and development on AZURE Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Possessing Big Data technology certification.
  • Experience in Machine Learning and predictive Analytics.
