About the Role

Edison Smart® is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. The role is centered on developing novel data solutions tailored for Biotech applications, especially in fields like Oncology, Pathology, and RNA-Seq. As part of your role, you will:

  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product teams to build and scale AI/ML models.
  • Take projects from prototype to production-ready software.
  • Create tools for training, testing, and optimizing AI/ML models.
  • Work across cloud and on-prem environments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Improve code quality and development speed.

About the Candidate

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A BS/BEng in Computer Science, Biomedical Science, or another relevant discipline.
  • Strong experience in software or algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Experience with Docker or other container technologies.
  • A passion for applying technology to solve healthcare challenges.

Nice to Have

While not essential, the following skills would be advantageous:

  • An understanding of Neural Networks.
  • Experience in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, or RESTful APIs.
  • Exposure to regulated medical software environments.
