About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer contractor to join a critical yearlong project focused on modernizing Continuous Integration (CI) infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in migrating existing CI pipelines—currently built on Concourse, TeamCity, and Jenkins—to a streamlined, efficient GitHub Actions environment. This project is designed to enhance CI processes and ensure scalability across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate existing CI pipelines from Concourse, TeamCity, and Jenkins to GitHub Actions Paved Road.
- Review and update existing build processes and pipelines to ensure proper functionality within GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployment and troubleshooting during the CI pipeline transition.
- Work on tasks involving versioning, scanning, building, and deploying code from development to production.
- Debug issues related to existing pipelines and ensure proper execution after migration.
- Document the migration process and any updates to the pipelines for team reference.
About the Candidate
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in DevOps with hands-on experience in managing and migrating CI pipelines.
- Proficiency in build tools such as Concourse, TeamCity, and Jenkins.
- Experience with scripting and configuration languages like JavaScript, Bash, YML, and Groovy.
- Experience with GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Solid understanding of Docker and deploying applications through CI pipelines.
- Proficient in using build tools and managing build pipelines.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
