About the Role
Deichmann SE is the Data Intelligence & Analytics Unit seeking a Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d). We are specialists in data, analytics, and Machine Learning, delivering innovative data products that foster a data-driven culture across various domains such as eCommerce, Marketing, and Logistics. Key responsibilities include:
- Agile development of Data Products and pipelines within the central Data Lakehouse.
- Automate data flows (Batch and Streaming) and enhance our Data Lakehouse architecture.
- Leverage state-of-the-art technologies including Spark, Databricks, and Airflow within the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate possesses relevant experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, Software Engineering, or Big Data. Furthermore, we seek:
- Strong operational focus and a pragmatic hands-on approach.
- Extensive knowledge of Spark and Python.
- Proficient in SQL and Data Warehouse concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and testing frameworks.
- Interest in modern concepts such as Data Mesh and Stream Analytics.
- Excellent English skills and basic knowledge of German.
