About the Role

For dmTECH, the IT subsidiary of dm-drogerie markt, we are looking for a Java/Kotlin Developer – Customer Technology (w/m/d) nationwide. Our interdisciplinary product teams in the Customer Technology area handle all digital touchpoints through which we daily interact with our customers.

You will support your team in the quality-oriented development of new microservices and/or transforming legacy software into modern structures to provide our customers with an outstanding shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Agile development of mobile-capable web applications and/or high-performance backend solutions, from conception through development to ongoing operations.
  • Ensure code and system quality, including code reviews, pair programming, complexity reduction, and automated tests.
  • Guarantee performance, availability, security, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Contribute to the roadmap in alignment with our business objectives.
  • Demonstrate openness, communication strength, and enthusiasm for improving customer shopping experiences with your team.

About the Candidate

  • Experience in developing web applications.
  • Very good knowledge of Java or Kotlin and their frameworks (ideally Spring Boot).
  • Willingness to engage in frontend or mobile development as well as the corresponding technologies.
  • Initial experience with cloud-hosted microservices and ideally initial experiences with Domain-driven Design.
  • Agile mindset and DevOps mentality.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English (at least B2 level).
