The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and managing robust data pipelines and cloud-first ETL processes in conjunction with Data Warehousing in the Automotive Digital Advertising industry. In this hybrid role, the work can be conducted from either our Winnipeg or Hamilton office locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into data lakes and warehouses.
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP) ensuring data security, scalability, and high availability.
  • Work with various stakeholders including Analytics, Product, and Design teams.on their data infrastructure needs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any performance bottlenecks or scaling challenges.
  • Maintain compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards.

About the Candidate (Qualifications)

  • 5+ years experience in data engineering or a similar role with a focus on managing scalable data systems.
  • Proven expertise with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or GCP.
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Familiarity with Data Engineering tools such as Airflow, Dataflow, and DBT.
  • Understanding of big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Beam.
  • Experience with real-time data streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka or Kinesis.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges.

The salary for this position ranges from $108,000 to $162,000.
