About the Role
Off Duty Management is seeking an experienced Software Developer who is passionate about building mission-critical applications. This role allows the flexibility to work from our offices in Katy, Texas, or remotely for those outside the greater Houston area. The Software Developer will report directly to the CTO and will play a key role in defining the vision for current and future product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Develop synchronous and asynchronous messaging architectures.
- Coordinate project activities with fellow developers to ensure timely completion of integration projects.
- Create strategies and design architectures for system integrations.
- Implement and test integrations while adhering to best practices.
- Maintain the integrity of the integration architecture and critical production systems.
- Analyze, improve, and troubleshoot system integrations and architecture issues.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
The successful applicant will have:
- Strong experience in Django, Python, and API development within a large-scale environment.
- Background in the Software Development Lifecycle with experience in Agile methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to thrive in a global team environment.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in developing web applications and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of full-stack web development and mobile application APIs.
