About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud-Native Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Enablement Platform team. The ideal candidate will have extensive cloud-native experience and a strong developer background, capable of working with modern programming languages. This role will focus on developing automated cloud resource deployment systems and integrating these systems into a cohesive application deployment framework.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Pulumi with TypeScript.
- Design and implement system-level tests, ensuring high quality and reliability.
- Handle flaky tests and improve test stability.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to integrate infrastructure components seamlessly with other platforms.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
- Write end-user and maintainer documentation.
- Work independently and in a small team environment to achieve project milestones.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
- Extensive cloud-native experience with at least one major cloud provider.
- Azure experience is preferred but not required; a strong cloud-native engineer is more important.
- If lacking Azure experience, a willingness and ability to learn and adapt to the Azure environment is essential.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform is critical.
- Strong developer background with proficiency in TypeScript or any OOP language, capable of transitioning to TypeScript.
- Proven experience in writing system-level tests for infrastructure components and experience with Kubernetes.
