As a Senior Software Engineer in Data Management at PGIM Fixed Income, your primary responsibility will involve designing and implementing robust data pipelines alongside building scalable APIs. This position is hybrid, blending both remote work and time spent in our Letterkenny office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop applications that follow modern coding practices and industry standards.
- Write high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Collaborate with technical leads and partners to define designs and business needs.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and service requests swiftly.
- Create robust unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
About the Candidate
Expectations
- A minimum of 5 years in software development focusing on Java or Python.
- Experience with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of best practices in enterprise application development using frameworks like Spring Boot.
- A continuous learner willing to enhance existing processes and solutions.
Nice to Have Skills
- Familiarity with cloud applications on AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to Fixed Income Asset Management environments would be beneficial.
