About the Role
Passive IT infrastructures and data centers are our business. With our software Vaiking, we monitor, control and optimize applications and functionalities of data centers. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer (m/w/d) who is passionate and knowledgeable about developing modern solutions for the complex challenges of data centers and elevating our product to the next level. Your tasks include developing our enterprise solution and implementing innovative features, collaborating closely with our internal teams and external partners, leveraging your experience to optimize and further develop existing systems, utilizing technologies such as Python, Docker, FastAPI, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Apache IoTDB to enhance our software, and being responsible for unit, integration, and automated testing to ensure the highest quality. You will accompany the entire software development cycle - from the idea to rollout, making decisions about tomorrow's technologies.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
You should bring several years of software development experience, ideally as a Senior Developer. Excellent knowledge of Python and modern frameworks (e.g., FastAPI) is required. Experience with relational and time-series databases (PostgreSQL, IoTDB, etc.) is also needed. You write clean, maintainable code and prefer to work with best practices, demonstrating enthusiasm for new technologies and a structured, independent working style. Preferred: Experience in machine learning and AI is a plus.
