About the Role
The Senior Manager, Data Science Consultant will be part of Visa's Asia Pacific Data Science team, focusing on analytics projects aimed at solving clients' strategic challenges. The position will involve engaging with stakeholders, leading business development discussions, and innovating data-driven solutions. A strong analytical background and experience in managing complex projects are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver analytics projects from conception to completion, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Define project scope and methodology using appropriate data mining techniques.
- Lead discussions related to data science solutions while gathering and articulating client requirements clearly.
- Communicate findings effectively, implement analytics solutions, and track value impacts.
- Develop storylines with logical insights and recommended actions for clients.
- Work with VisaNet and other data sources to create advanced, data-driven solutions.
- Seek opportunities to innovate by using non-traditional data and new modeling techniques.
- Engage with external clients and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
About the Candidate
We expect a motivated, analytical individual with at least 10 years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in the banking or payments industries. Strong knowledge in statistical techniques, excellent project management capabilities, and effective communication skills are necessary. Familiarity with SQL, Python, machine learning tools, and experience managing concurrent projects will be beneficial.
