About the Role
Our client is a small product organization located near Rotterdam. They provide SaaS solutions for project management in major construction and infrastructure projects. Notable clients include VolkerWessels, BAM, and Boskalis. They are one of the market leaders in the Netherlands and are currently expanding their services to other countries.
The operations team, consisting of 5 members, is responsible for keeping the technology running and optimized, excluding the software itself. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting incidents, maintaining the internal Kubernetes environment, and engaging in improvement and automation projects, possibly in collaboration with their hosting provider.
About the Candidate
We are looking for a senior or mid-level operations engineer with at least 3 to 4 years of experience in system management/operations within Microsoft/Windows environments. Familiarity with Linux is a plus, as there will be more work with it in the future. You should have at least 1 year of experience with Kubernetes (preferably on-premise, not just cloud-based). A CKA certification would be ideal; otherwise, you can obtain this with the unlimited training budget provided.
Experience with automation tools is highly valued; familiarity with at least two of the following tools is desirable: PowerShell, C#, Bash, Bicep, Ansible, and Terraform.

The company has a small, flat structure with around 60 staff members. It is known for its informal atmosphere, typical of Rotterdam.
Company Location and Work Environment
The position is based in the Rotterdam area, with 50% of the work being remote and 50% on-site.
Salary and Benefits
The base salary is between €60,000 and €75,000, with additional benefits available, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
