Team Lead Data Engineering (m/w/d)

As a Team Lead Data Engineering (m/w/d) at Deichmann SE, you will:

Lead and develop a team of Data Engineers, acting as a technical mentor and manager.
Be responsible for all services concerning our data products and provide them reliably and scalably via our Data Mesh.
Guide product teams in implementing our data and analytics strategy by designing, implementing, and managing new data products throughout their lifecycle.
Establish a professional development environment for Data Engineering in collaboration with the platform team.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A Master's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
At least 8 years of experience in a Data Engineering environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven success in delivering data products from ideation to implementation.
Extensive practical experience with cloud technologies (preferably MS Azure and Databricks).
Strong proficiency in Data Modelling and software engineering principles, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD concepts.
Practical experience with Python, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, and dbt is advantageous.
Fluency in German is required, and good command of English is expected.
