About the Role
As a Senior Backend Developer at IBM, you will work in one of our Client Innovation Centers, delivering technical and industry expertise to clients in both the public and private sectors. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and managing sustainable solutions in complex IT environments, primarily utilizing Java and Spring, while ensuring continuous improvements through automation and AI.
Your Role and Responsibilities
You will join a self-organized team that takes responsibility for the entire development process, from requirements analysis to implementation and testing. Key tasks include:
- Collaborating with team members and clients to develop effective IT solutions.
- Implementing automation and AI to enhance operational workflows.
- Guiding the team in design and technology choices.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
You should have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of documented experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring, REST APIs, as well as relational and document databases.
- Experience in cloud application development (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- The flexibility to work on-site with clients three days a week.
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English.
Nice to have:
- Experience in unit testing with JUnit,
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Gradle, and Git.
