About the Role
Astek presents an opportunity for a motivated Java Developer who is ready to tackle new challenges for one of our clients in the banking sector. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the entire delivery process from analysis to maintenance of distributed applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery by performing analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of large-scale distributed applications.
- Act as a highly motivated team player, with significant experience in application development and strong communication skills.
- Directly interact with users and other technologists in the company while using their framework/software.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
- More than 5 years of experience in Java development.
- Excellent hands-on knowledge of technologies such as Java, databases, and middleware (SOAP/XML/Messaging/RESTful services).
- Good understanding of object-oriented analysis, design, and programming, with familiarity in design patterns.
- Practical experience with multithreaded systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Iterative development practices.
- Previous experience working within an international delivery team, and knowledge of MQ, Hibernate, and Spring frameworks.
- Prior experience in investment banking is a plus.
