About the Role
Finmas GmbH, the digital partner of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, develops digital finance marketplaces. We help our clients in the financial sector meet customer needs for suitable financing solutions. We are currently seeking a Lead Developer / Software Architect (Java/Spring Boot) for our online banking platform, offering a hybrid work model requiring 1-2 days per week at our Berlin location.
Responsibilities
- Architecture: Define and enforce architectural principles, selecting suitable technologies ensuring long-term maintainability.
- Backend Development: Develop applications with Java (Spring Boot) and design, develop, and integrate REST APIs for both internal and external use.
- Testing and Performance: Write tests for your code (End-to-End Testing with tools like Jest or Cypress) and optimize application performance.
- Collaboration & Team Leadership: Work closely with the internal UX/design department and provide mentoring to our growing development team.
About the Candidate
- Development Experience: Solid experience in Java (Spring Boot) and knowledge in designing and developing REST APIs along with experience with End-to-End Tests.
- Architecture Knowledge: Familiar with architecture principles, technologies, tools, and the design of scalable software systems.
- Technical Skills: Experience in implementing authentication methods (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT) and knowledge of web security (CORS, CSRF, XSS), version control (Git), and CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Soft Skills: Ability to make independent decisions and actively engage in the development of new features, guiding others through code reviews and leading a team effectively.
- Language: German language proficiency at a minimum C1 level.
