About the Role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Fullstack Ruby on Rails Developer (minimum 4 years of experience) to strengthen our small, agile team. You will work on a combination of new feature development, maintenance, and platform evolution for an international e-learning platform.
Your Missions
- Develop, maintain, and evolve our Ruby on Rails platforms.
- Contribute to the modernization of the frontend stack (migration to React is under consideration).
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of our systems.
- Work closely with the Lead Developer and Product Manager/Owner.
- Implement and maintain solid test coverage (>25%).
- Contribute to code quality, architecture best practices, and monitoring.
Tech Stack
- Frontend: HTML5, Javascript, Ruby on Rails.
- Backend: Ruby on Rails.
- CI/CD: GitLab, GitLab CI.
- Monitoring: ELK stack, Sentry, New Relic.
- Others: AWS, Heroku, Sidekiq, Figma, ClickUp, Docker.
Profile
- Minimum 3/4 years of experience in fullstack development.
- At least 2 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments.
- Solid experience writing unit and functional tests (targeting >50% coverage).
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable with remote collaboration.
- Full-time freelance mission.
- Initial 3-month period, renewable (3 months → 6 months → 1 year renewable). Full-time commitment (5 days/week).
