About the Role
The MS SQL DBA will manage all administration activities related to MS SQL Server databases. This includes projects focused on long-term database design requirements in cooperation with information systems management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides all activities related to the administration of MS SQL Server databases.
- Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
- Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment.
- Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
- Advises users on access to various client/server databases and designs, implements, and maintains complex databases.
- Applies knowledge of database technologies including development methodologies and supports systems design.
About the Candidate
Required Skills:
- BS Degree and experience with 4-8 years of Strong MS SQL Server database administration.
- Proficiency in SQL programming, relational databases, experience with database replication, and AWS technologies.
Desired Skills:
- AWS certification, experience with Oracle, DB2, AWS Aurora, data migration, data modelling, and data governance.
