About the Role
Join Dolby and help us design the future of entertainment technology. As a QA Engineer with Python in the Cinema Technology QA group, you will analyze and assure the quality of our products. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans as well as maintaining QA test environments.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Python and pytest scripts for automated tests.
- Perform automated and manual test execution, reporting on test coverage and risk assessment.
- Design test plans and test cases for new features using advanced test design techniques.
- Report and work with development teams to debug and resolve issues.
- Maintain test environments and configurations.
- Stay updated on best practices in software development and testing.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years in software scripting and test automation.
- Professional experience using Python and familiarity with pytest or similar frameworks.
- Experience with SQA industry tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Skills in multiple test design techniques and execution.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP, SSH, NTP, FTP.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Nice to Have
- Interest in consumer or professional audio/video technologies.
- Experience in automated WebUI testing.
