Your Role as a Senior Data Engineer

You will work on our Data Driven mission: transforming companies into truly data-driven organizations. As an experienced Data Engineer, you will take the lead in our projects and/or assignments, support and guide your colleagues, and play a crucial role in building strong relationships with clients and employers.

You will be responsible for setting up, structuring, and developing data platforms. If you have a particular specialization in Data Engineering, such as Databricks, Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, or are interested in Data Architecture, we will match you with a relevant ilionx project.

Technical Story

You will work within the Microsoft Azure Cloud using Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Databricks and/or Snowflake cloud data services. For ELT/ETL, you will use SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, PySpark, Python, DBT, and Matillion.

About the Candidate (Expectations)

We require the following from you:

  • A completed degree at HBO/WO level.
  • At least 5 years of experience with (Azure) Data Engineering.
  • Strong affinity with technology and an engineering mindset.
  • Experience with Databricks/Data Factory/Synapse/Data lake(house).
  • Experience with Python and (Py)Spark.
  • Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
  • Availability of 32–40 hours, with flexibility in scheduling. If you do not meet all the requirements but believe this is the role for you, we encourage you to apply.
