About the Role
As a Lead DevOps Engineer at BWI GmbH, you will work towards ensuring Germany's digital future presence by supporting IT systems for the Bundeswehr and federal IT services. Your primary duties include:
- Further development and operation of our software development platform.
- Integration of the platform into the system landscape of BWI and our customers.
- Evaluation, procurement, and provision of additional developer tools for integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Security hardening of the development platform following IT security guidelines.
- Support and mentoring of project teams in agile DevOps models.
- Development of automation and maintenance scripts.
- Providing input for the optimization of teamwork and stakeholder collaboration.
About the Candidate
Successful candidates will possess:
- A degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT qualification is mandatory.
- At least six years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent expertise in deployment automation with Ansible and managing Linux server systems.
- Proficient in container and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab, SonarQube, etc.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby) and command-line interfaces (Bash, Powershell).
- Experience in securing servers according to IT security principles.
- Ideally, experience with Identity & Access Management tools, such as KeyCloak.
- Fluent German and good English language skills are essential.
