About the Role

Bevertec is seeking a Sr. Database Administration and Storage professional to join our dynamic team in a hybrid capacity, requiring in-office presence two days a week. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Postgres SQL DBA. Key responsibilities include managing PostgreSQL security, including user creation and LDAP integration, and working with community version PostgreSQL (version 13 or higher).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support PostgreSQL security, including creating users and granting/revoking access.
  • Expertise in streaming and logical replication, backup and recovery, and maintenance utilities (setup, configuration, and monitoring).
  • Investigate and troubleshoot PostgreSQL performance issues utilizing native Postgres catalog and statistics.
  • Strong knowledge of pl/pgsql language and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with GCP and experience with Linux, storage, and network administration.
  • Experience with cluster management tools that support HA PostgreSQL clusters, such as Patroni.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Git.

About the Candidate

Candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in database platforms, such as DB2 and SQL Server.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with automation and performance management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
