About the Role
We are seeking a creative bilingual backend engineer to join the team behind CoCounsel. You will help build applications that interact with state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) that deliver cutting-edge and time-saving solutions to attorneys in Europe. CoCounsel is capable of writing legal research memos, summarizing and reviewing documents, and red-lining contracts, all in minutes.
As a Software Engineer, Legal Prompter, you will:
- Orchestrate LLM-driven experiences that delight our customers.
- Develop Python code that interacts with state-of-the-art LLMs.
- Write, test, and iterate French prose prompts for the LLM using your legal domain knowledge, ensuring accurate and contextually appropriate responses.
- Develop Python code that interacts with data sources & services (APIs, SQL databases, etc.).
- Liaise with legal professionals and teams at Thomson Reuters to gather and understand requirements.
- Integrate language models into multi-step systems, assessing performance and making necessary modifications.
About You
You are:
- Highly proficient in written and spoken French with a strong legal domain expertise.
- Experienced in software engineering with a minimum of two years in a production-level team, preferably in a startup environment.
- Proficient in Python, with a strong understanding of APIs and SQL.
- An excellent communicator, with creative and clear writing skills.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
