About the Role

At AirFund, we are developing a digital platform that simplifies access to private market funds (private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure). Our mission is to democratize private investment by connecting management companies and distributors and digitalizing the entire subscription cycle—from contact to capital calls, KYC/KYB processes, and reporting.

You will join us as a DevOps/SRE Engineer, focusing on strengthening the reliability of our infrastructure and applications. Alongside your team lead (currently responsible for infrastructure), you will work on improving monitoring, the resilience of services, and setting up platform engineering tools that will facilitate developers' work.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Cloud: Manage, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure on GCP (primarily Google Kubernetes Engine). Participate in securing, scaling, and optimizing the platform. Monitor and manage costs related to infrastructure and monitoring.
  • Observability: Maintain and evolve our monitoring stack (Grafana, Alloy, Mimir, Loki) and lay the groundwork for future integration of OpenTelemetry. Propose relevant dashboards and alerts focused on product reliability.
  • Platform Engineering: Design internal tools and abstractions to enable developers to deploy, monitor, and debug their services autonomously. Contribute to the team's "Platform as a Product" vision. Help build a robust and efficient platform team while ensuring the security and reliability of deployed environments.

About the Candidate

  • Graduated in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a Cloud/Kubernetes environment.
  • Strong mastery of Kubernetes and a modern monitoring tool (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog).
  • Proficient in an Infrastructure as Code tool (e.g., Terraform).
  • Familiarity with GCP is highly appreciated.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Kotlin, Golang, React, or .NET (enough to read and understand application behavior).
  • A mindset for platform engineering: you enjoy building sustainable tools that prevent others from constantly fixing issues.
  • A passion for documenting your work and sharing knowledge, contributing to the growth of colleagues through constructive feedback.
  • Desire to contribute to a growing startup within a demanding technical environment.
