What Profiles Are We Recruiting?

To support our customer's growth in the financial sector, ALTEN Canada is recruiting a Python/GenAI Developer. The position involves implementing automation and AI solutions (NLP, GenAI) to analyze and extract data from structured and unstructured documents. The ideal profile has experience in Java, Python, automation, and an appetite for AI technologies. The individual will work in a local agile team, in an innovative environment.

Responsibilities

Participate in process automation with OCR and AI tools (e.g. UiPath OCR).
Design and develop solutions in Java and Python.
Apply NLP/GenAI techniques to analyze and extract data from documents.
Contribute to automated testing and continuous integration.
Collaborate with IT, QA, and production management teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Participate in Agile activities with the local team.
Follow internal standards (safety, quality, SDLC).

Required Skills

Mastery of Java (Spring Boot, REST, multithreading) and Python.
Experience with automation and OCR tools (e.g. UiPath OCR).
Knowledge of NLP, GenAI or machine learning.
Experience in automated testing (Cucumber, Selenium...).
Practice of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Good basics in SQL and relational databases.
Ability to learn quickly, collaborate, and innovate.

Assets

Knowledge of computer vision, Angular development, continuous integration (Maven, Artifactory).
Experience in TDD/BDD or application architecture.
