About the Role
The R&D Laboratory of a large multinational company is seeking an experienced engineer to join the AI Platform team, which creates web services, tools, and machine learning models for Sony business units. The ideal candidate will be a very strong software developer, experienced in designing and developing cloud-based solutions using Big Data tools and technologies, as well as applying machine learning to build models on various types of data (tabular, time series, images). They will join a project focused on innovative data analytics R&D and building and deploying solutions for various parts of the business.
About the Candidate
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field and be fluent in English. The following skills and experience are required:
- 5 years of back-end cloud design, development, and deployment experience.
- Design and development of RESTful web services: Python, Flask, Java.
- Experience with cloud services: AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Data engineering and workflow scheduling.
- 3 years of experience in DevOps: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with data analytics and machine learning.
- Excellent coding, reviewing, and testing skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
Desirable Experience
Experience with data tools and technologies such as:
- Hadoop, Spark, Apache Beam.
- MLFlow, Kubeflow.
- TensorFlow, PyTorch.
- SQL, pandas.
- Knowledge of Haskell, Rust, Golang.
Job Start and Duration
The job start is ASAP. The company is interested in both permanent and temporary contracts, offering a 12-month contract in case of temporary employment. However, they are keen on retaining the hired engineer longer than one year.

The client is an AI and software research & development group, wholly owned by a multinational corporation, dedicated to researching and developing AI and software for the organization’s products and services. Their offices are located in Zaventem, near Brussels, Belgium. The group is international, and the working language is English.
