About the Role

We are looking to strengthen our DevSecOps team with a skilled DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer who has a successful track record for a remote position based in Montreal. Our team in Montreal consists of approximately 15 people. You will work alongside three developers and a technical lead in your local team. A person based in France, responsible for data and DevOps, will be your reporting manager.

About the Candidate

The desired candidate should have an engineering background with some experience as a Dev(Sec)Ops in high-load or high-availability environments. A genuine interest in distributed architectures, combined with practical knowledge in automation, security (technical and organizational), open-source software, and cloud computing, is essential. You must be comfortable communicating in both English and French, both written and spoken, and capable of collaborating effectively with international teams. We seek someone who is curious, meticulous, autonomous, and open-minded, keen on learning, growing, and sharing knowledge. Familiarity with the following technical knowledge is advantageous:

  • General cloud computing (AWS is a plus)
  • Kubernetes (K8s) and EKS, with operational management skills in kubectl, helm, etc.
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) using tools like GitLab and ArgoCD
  • Automation tools (Chef, Terraform)
  • Linux, particularly Debian GNU/Linux
  • Comfortable with Dockerfiles and Helm charts
  • Programming skills in shell (bash, zsh), Python, Go, or Rust.
