About the Role

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer – Performance, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex issues within the Technical Support team, focusing on performance and instance availability. The role requires you to escalate issues appropriately while mentoring junior members. It is also customer-facing, requiring effective interpersonal and communication skills. Please note that this role does require working outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)

To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience in leveraging AI for work processes.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting abilities, especially regarding relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle.
  • Proficient in Java and at least one scripting language (JavaScript, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Advanced Unix/Linux knowledge and experience in web application stack components.
  • Expertise in diagnosing performance issues and database tuning.
  • Commitment to customer service and quality with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively while working independently or as part of a team.

Additionally, preferred skills include:

  • Experience with object-oriented programming, especially Java.
  • Familiarity with web services and data extraction technologies.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and Networking principles.
  • Experience with tools like Splunk and eclipse.
