About the Role
This position is exclusively for profiles with a graduate degree from an engineering school or a minimum of Bac+5. The salary is based on the profile, with a maximum of up to 65k. A rapidly growing scale-up in the foodtech sector is looking for an experienced backend architect to lead a major technological migration and evolve the architecture of its platform towards a modern and scalable environment.
Your Challenges
- Take technical responsibility for migrating an existing backend to NestJS (Node.js).
- Design a high-performance and scalable API (100 requests/sec) deployed on the cloud.
- Improve personalization algorithms and cart management under constraints.
- Implement performance tracking tools.
- Support the team's skill enhancement on the new stack.
Your Actions
- Rethink the backend architecture to support increased load.
- Supervise the technological migration while ensuring service quality and stability.
- Work closely with product and data teams.
- Ensure good practices (testing, CI/CD, code reviews).
- Be a driver of innovation and challenge technical choices.
Technical Environment
- Backend: NestJS (Node.js), previously Ruby on Rails.
- Infrastructure: Cloud provider.
- Data: SQL, large-scale processing and reporting tools.
About the Candidate
Expected Qualifications
- Bac+5 education in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong experience in backend architecture.
- Mastery of NestJS (or significant experience with a structured Node.js framework).
- Interest in AI as a lever for personalization or optimization.
- Experience in technology migration or architectural redesign.
