About the Role

We are seeking W2 candidates for the position of Java Developer (Java, Spring, Kafka) - Mid level, based in Sunnyvale, CA. This role will be hybrid, allowing a mix of remote and onsite work. The duration of the role is projected for 12 or more months, with a competitive rate based on experience ranging from $45 to $50 on a W2 basis.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Java/J2EE, SpringBoot, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with design patterns, event sourcing, and event-based architecture.
  • Experience with Cassandra and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of technologies for building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
  • Ability to develop high performance and scalable solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading big data.
  • Understanding of continuous development environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovation strategies, processes, and best practices.
  • Execute multiple business plans and projects effectively.
  • Collaborate with Leads during the discovery phase to prepare high-level designs for projects.
  • Work closely within a small team of 3 to 4 engineers on assigned engineering projects.
  • Participate in end-to-end service implementations, including data feed ingestion and orchestration.
  • Design and implement low latency services while promoting and supporting company standards and ethics.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues as necessary.
