About the Role
We are looking for a talented Data Solution Architect to join our expert team. Armed with experience in AWS and Java, this role calls for an open-minded individual ready to contribute significantly in a collegial environment. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in designing and implementing data solutions using Databricks platforms, paired with a sharp acumen for analytics solutions and adeptness in liaising with business stakeholders to meet their data architectural needs.
Responsibilities
- Design data analytics solutions using the Big Data technology stack
- Create, detail, and present solution architecture documents
- Identify solution requirements and key use cases in close collaboration with business stakeholders
- Conduct architecture reviews/audits and calculate ROI
- Lead solution implementations from project requirements to solution deployment
- Engage in pre-sale activities including customer interactions, RFP processing, proposal development, and solution presentations
- Develop and adhere to a personal education plan in relevant technology stacks and solution architecture
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Drive new client engagement to expand the company's presence in the Big Data sector
About the Candidate
Requirements
- 14+ years of Big Data development experience with a strong design/development background in Java, Scala, or Python
- Proficiency in Databricks, with a solid understanding of data architectures and data modeling
- Skilled in designing and building ETL pipelines using Databricks and external orchestrators like Airflow
- Experience in delivering data analytics projects and setting architecture guidelines
- Hands-on engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Competency in batch processing technologies including Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, or Hive
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, HBase, Accumulo, or Kudu
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Proven track record of direct customer communication and pre-sales activities within large enterprise environments

- Previous pre-sales experience
