About the Role
IONOS SE is Europe's leading platform for cloud services and hosting solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications in Golang, including Kubernetes Operators, REST APIs, and libraries. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing new features to improve our Managed-Kubernetes offerings.
- Collaborating in the development of our service architecture and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Maintaining the complete DevOps toolchain, including Helm Charts, GitHub Actions, and GitOps workflows.
- Creating and managing Kubernetes operators, controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
- Implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for Kubernetes workloads while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance platform reliability and performance.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of practical experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Golang development with a proven track record of delivering production-ready code.
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or private cloud infrastructures.
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes architecture, API resources, and extensibility patterns including knowledge of Helm and other Kubernetes package management tools.
- Experience designing and implementing Kubernetes operators and controllers with expertise in container orchestration, networking, and security principles.
- Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Advanced Linux system administration skills along with good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
