About the Role

Goodies Pub is looking for a Senior PHP Backend Developer to contribute to the structuring of the technical team and further propel the company's success. As a backend developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and improving tools and functionalities across our information system.
  • Working with the purchase-logistics chain, product and order chain, data & reporting, ERP, and CRM.
  • Conducting studies, designing, and developing solutions to enhance or create new functionalities.
  • Performing DevOps tasks around Docker and deployments.
  • Contributing to the improvement of project management, documentation, testing, and development standards.

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience, including at least 1 year in a Senior Developer role.
  • Strong curiosity and versatility, focusing on delivering value to clients beyond just coding.
  • Excellent mastery of PHP along with familiarity with the Symfony framework.
  • Advanced SQL skills for optimizing database querying and good knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Experience with Gitlab, Jira, and Docker.
  • High standards for application development: short iterations, decoupling, modularity, testability, and code quality (following PSR standards, strong typing, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively use design patterns and development best practices.
  • Experience in implementing tests and coding reliable, robust APIs.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • A willingness to live in or relocate to the La Rochelle region.

Nice to Have

Experience working with the Magento/Adobe Commerce e-commerce platform would be a bonus, as well as familiarity with API management tools.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial phone call with Nicolas, Director of E-commerce (30 min)
  • First interview (with tests and practical assessment) at our office with Nicolas (1 hr 30 mins)
  • Second interview at our office with Sébastien, CEO and Founder (1 hr)
  • Team meeting and reference checks.
  • Decision to be made within 10 days.
